Rodrigue Mouchez works directly with the elements that define immediate daily life by reconfiguring them into strange and foreign presences. Grounded in his research on the concepts of cycle, alteration or entropy, the artist questions our deeply rooted anthropocentrism often using ephemeral, organic or perishable materials. Altering a set order of things is for the artist a way of producing new schemes of sensibility and narrative possibilities, which have both spatial and temporal consequences.

Lately, Rodrigue Mouchez had a duo show at Massapê Projetos (Sao Paulo, BR) with brazilian artist Mano Penalva and took part in Untitled Art Fair's Special Projects Program (Miami, US). In 2018, he had solo exhibitions at Galería guadalajara90210 (Guadalajara, MX) and at Institut Français d'El Jadida (El Jadida, MA). He participated, these past years, in various international group shows such as Galería  Mercado Negro (Puebla, MX), Canopy Gallery (Brussels, BE), 68projects-Gallery Kornfled (Berlin, DE), Z33 Art Center (Hasselt, BE), Le Magasin (Grenoble, FR) or the 5th Biennial of Marrakech (Marrakech, MA). In 2017, he founded the curatorial platform AGUAS, that intends to forge a meaningful dialogue between artists from Europe and the Americas through exhibitions, talks or publications.
